Send drawings that no mailbox will take.
A full set of construction drawings, an IFC model, a point cloud from the laser scanner: planning files are large, and a project has twenty parties using twenty different programs. LightSend carries up to 10 GB in one transfer — from your own server, with a record showing who fetched which revision.
Large files, many parties, changing revisions.
Daily planning work combines everything an ordinary attachment fails at: size, a constantly shifting set of recipients, and documents that are obsolete tomorrow.
Gigabytes, not megabytes
Point clouds, renderings, a complete drawing set as PDF and DWG: up to 10 GB and 200 files in one transfer, without cutting the folder into pieces.
Every party on different software
Client, site management, structural engineers, building services, contractors, the authority. The recipient needs nothing but a browser — no access to your storage and no account.
Prove who holds which revision
After a design change that question is anything but academic. The audit log on your server records who collected what and when — and a transfer can be withdrawn before anyone builds from it.
What planning offices send with it.
Everything too large for an attachment — and some of it nobody outside the project should see.
- →Construction drawings as PDF and DWG to contractors
- →IFC models and BIM extracts to specialist planners
- →Point clouds and laser scan surveys
- →Visualisations and renderings to the client
- →Planning application documents to the authority
- →Photographic records of construction progress
- →Tender documents and bills of quantities to bidders
- →Competition entries before the jury sits
Three steps, even in the middle of a build.
Pick the folder and send
Right click in Explorer, Send to, LightSend — or the add-in beside the message in Outlook. Encryption happens on your machine before anything leaves it.
Match the deadline to the project
Between 3 and 30 days. A drawing set that will be superseded in three weeks need not stay available longer.
Withdraw when something changes
As long as it has not been collected, a transfer can be revoked. After that the log shows who still took the old revision — and whom you need to call.
What planning offices ask first.
Can we send an entire project folder?
Does the contractor on site have to install anything?
What about a competition entry before judging?
Does this replace our project platform?
